Here is their story on how they came to choose a condo at The Mark 101.

We had started looking at new construction a few months before we decided we wanted to buy a condo at The Mark 101, but hadn’t seen anything that we were really excited about, or that didn’t require a lot of upgrading. We left The Mark show suite and decided we wanted to purchase before we even made it home! We are currently renting, and decided that an apartment style condo fit our lifestyle best.
We picked a two bedroom model – the A1. Since we both work from home, a second bedroom was a requirement for office space, as well as a dedicated storage room for us to hide our pet’s litter box.
The location in Sage Hill is ideal as our current rental is only 10 minutes away, so we already spend a lot of time in the area and like it. It’s such a pretty part of the city, with all the accessible green space. As well, the nearby amenities and access to Stoney Trail, Deerfoot, and even downtown is excellent for the times we do have to work in the office.
We were very impressed from the very first moment we set foot inside the show suite – it didn’t look like a typical ‘condo’, the kitchen is so large (Aileen loves cooking!), and the big windows and 9ft ceilings give it an incredibly spacious feeling.
As well, the standard finishes were more than we were anticipating – everything we were looking for was already included (master bath shower stall, granite counters, well thought out vanities and kitchen storage, large laundry room and outdoor space) with no upgrading required. We were incredibly excited to upgrade to air conditioning so easily as well. The value for the price is amazing!
Since this is a first time purchase for both of us, we used The Homebuyers Plan. Once we got the information from the government (website and a couple phone calls) about how the program works, it was very easy to get the funds to the builder. We would recommend taking the time to ensure you have the direct deposit set up as it makes the receipt of funds much faster.
As the cashing of an RRSP takes some time, Dianne, our Area Manager made it easier for us by allowing our second cheque to be post-dated to a month from our date of purchase to help accommodate our situation. It is easy to use your RRSP Savings as your 5% deposit without too much difficulty – we definitely recommend this.
Our experience has been so positive, in no small part due to Dianne and the wealth of information she has been. Dianne took the time to walk us through the show suite, highlighting the standard features and optional upgrades. She has been incredibly patient with our questions and provided an incredibly well curated potential buyers package – prices, finish options, features, even a recommended mortgage broker (who was also amazing to work with!). This information made our decision even easier – we had everything we needed when we left the show suite.
Nuovo’s willingness to provide potential buyers so much information was a definite tipping point – we saw so many other units and couldn’t get enough information from the sales agents while we were there. Dianne has been there every step of the way for us, and it’s especially appreciated as first time purchasers.
